In 2021, Theragen Bio became the first in the genomics industry to introduce the GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler, which allows for the identification of spatial information for single-cell analysis. The company has also obtained certification as a service provider (CSP) from the manufacturer. Through single-cell analysis, it is possible to obtain genomic data while maintaining information on individual cells within tissues, and it can help understand the characteristics of genomics and cells expressed in specific locations, as well as the interactions between cells. In addition, it is possible to accurately analyze RNA samples extracted from FFPE (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded) tissues as well as frozen tissues, allowing for three-dimensional spatial analysis of immune cells, fibroblasts, and the matrix of cells in microenvironments.
