■ As part of its corporate social responsibility, Theragen Bio has donated cosmetics worth KRW 125 million to socially marginalized groups.

■ After becoming the first genomics company to receive ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications for information security and personal information protection in September 2020, Theragen Bio has maintained excellent scores to strengthen its ESG capabilities in the bio industry for the 3 years.


Theragen Bio (CEO: Samuel Hwang), global genomics analysis service and AI-based drug development company, announced that they have donated 4,000 cosmetics worth KRW 125 million to the Pangyo Senior Welfare Center for the year-end season on December 8th.


The cosmetics delivered this time will be delivered to facilities linked to the Pangyo Senior Welfare Center at the end of the year to help vulnerable people throughout society, including the elderly. Ato Standard is a cosmetic developed by Theragen Bio , which contains human placental extract and highly concentrated exosomes, showing excellent effects on sensitive skin and itching.


Samuel Hwang said, "I hope that this moisturizing and itch-relieving cosmetic will be helpful for socially vulnerable groups in the cold weather," and "we will make efforts to be a model of ESG management in the bio industry." 


Meanwhile, Theragen Bio is making company-wide efforts in various ways to promote ESG management in the bio industry. In addition to efforts to fulfill its social responsibility as an NGS service and new drug development company, it is also making great efforts to obtain information security certification (ISO27001) and personal information protection certification (ISO27701) for the first time in September 2020.
