(CEO Samuel Hwang), located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, donated genetic analysis equipment worth 1 billion won to Korea Biomeister Go on the 5th.

Since its establishment in 2009, TheragenBio has provided genomic analysis services to more than 700 medical institutions in Korea and research institutes in more than 40 countries overseas, and is a global genomic analysis service and platform-based drug development company specializing in the development of NeoAntigen, a fourth-generation personalized anti-cancer drug.

Theragenbio donated its Hiseq 2500, an Illumina sequencing (Illumina dye sequencing, also known as DNA sequencing, is a technology used to determine the sequence of base pairs in DNA) instrument to Hankuk Biomeister High School.

"In the course of genetic recombination, students are able to get practical and concrete experience in sequencing through advanced instruments, and there are more opportunities to learn and practice gene sequencing technology using the equipment," said Ryu Young-mok, president of KBIH. "We are pleased that students can learn various gene analysis technologies that can be quickly adapted to the field when they go to companies for field training or employment."

Korea Biomedical University signed an agreement with TheragenBio on June 11, 2021, to hire three students, and continues to engage in various industry-academia collaborations.
